shots are one of the most important aspects of a movie or a tv show. they set the mood. close up shots convey intensity and emotion while more wide shots establish a scene etc. they gave us a lot of close up shots of eddie’s face in the kim and eddie scene at the end of 7x09 because it was an intense moment for eddie as a character for example. you have to get the shot right to convey what you want your audience to see yknow.

The Dark - God of the Dark (she/he/it): probably my weakest concept at the moment. it doesnt do the dark any justice. i mean i like the cloak idea but i want them to be very tendrilly, all consuming, shadowy, but i dont know how to properly portray them :/

The Desolation - God of Destruction and Fire (they/it): i have a neat vision for them! i want them to be made of coal and ash and smoke, to be burning and glowing on the inside, and their body is decorated with melted wax to look like clothes. not quiiiiiite sure about how their melty candle dress is now? i want it to be less constrictive

The Stranger - God of the Unknown and the Whimsical (he/she/they/it): it's meant to be this. weird wirey creature hidden behind masks and a lot of fabrics, like the framework of a poseable plush doll? i like the way the masks look but im not so sure about the body.

The Vast - God of the Above (she/he/they/it): im not so sure about his design at all im gonna be real. i want them to look like the atmosphere and be covered in clouds and have mountains for feet and an ocean cape but i feel like it might be a bit?? idk??? im just not that happy with it :/

The End - God of Death and Time (they/it): ugh i love this concept sm, making death read as less scary and more divine is so fun. theyre based on a seraphim and a sand timer,

The Buried - God of the Underneath (she/he/they/it): ANOTHER OF MY FAVORITES!!!! i love them. theyre inspired by hermit crabs!! and they have silver chains holding their shell to them. they look so endearing with their lil lopsided eyes ;; <3

The Flesh - God of the Body and Meat (she/he/they/it): i have so many ideas for the flesh y'all- im very excited to do a concept sheet for them. theyre meant to have no skin, just exposed bone and muscle, large limbs, hooves, exposed heart underneath a ribcage, teeth that close around their abdomen. white bandages that wrap around like clothes. a teeth/horn crown? i dont quite know whether to go for a more animalistic look or a more human one? like- theres so many ways to go with him idek!!!

The Hunt - God of Predators and Pride (they/it): see, i like this design but i feel like its too werewolf like? yknow? thats cool!! but itreads more monster to me than God :/

The Corruption - God of Nature, Rot, and Disease (she/they/it): i love this weird bug thing. this one i was really inspired for (mostly because. corruption aligned. so obviously im gonna think about this one alot) theyre this weird bug thing, the veil is inspired by the one from the art on the wiki! i want to maybe make them a bit more gross and weird because nature is like that sometimes, a moot on tiktok suggested that i add animal bones!! and i think thats SO smart im absolutely going too

The Spiral - God of the Incomprehensible (it/its): this weirdo is so hard to pin down istg. i imagine them as this spiral thing. body is kindof liquidy, arms are spindly and long, multiple shifting faces, overall just constantly changing and moving and like!!! how am i meant to draw that??? when my brain cant even wrap my head around what its supposed to look like yknow??? bruh jrdbhgfjdldgfh- that being said i think the main problem with the design is that it just gives me too many Michael vibes!!! is it the hair? the arms? its probably both.

The Lonely - God of Solitude and the Self (they/it): i like what this one has going so far! theyve got fog hair, fog tears, their body is meant to be splotchy like turquoise marble, i vibe with it so hard. not so sure what to do with their outfit tho :/

The Slaughter - God of War (he/they/it): another one of my more stronger designs i think! centaur with weapons sticking into them, face concealed, medieval armor and antlers- it vibes

some of the most common prickcest fics i feel like are precanon fics of like young rick from when he was still with diane (theres a lot of young ricks, what are we calling him? wife guy?) and he's cheating on her with prime before he even offers him a portal gun, and i believe ive also seen a few people analysing this scenario, like what if rick actually did know prime before that meeting we see in the show, so i want to add to that by saying that what if that actually happened and yknow how rick reveals to beth in bethic twinstinct that he's also been with other versions of himself, what if beth and space beth reminded him of him and prime and how he was cheating on diane and then he lost her forever at the hands of the man he was having an affair with (at his own hands) :3 and also lost his beth

which is why rick said "remember, its not just your ice cream you're forgetting, it's your family's" or smth. because he forgot his familys ice cream too much, and then he lost them (not that im saying he thinks space beth would do that but also, we dont know.)

space beth and prime are shown as kind of the edgier versions of beth and rick, prime and space beth even have similar sci-fi-ish outfits maroon-ish undershirt, diagonal hanging belt thing, streak in hair, dark leggings/trousers with some kind of leg cuff or something?

I'd imagine she blames him more than she blames dipper for the whole ordeal, and with stan inadvertently kinda making it worse (not to mention bill just. being bill.)

UGH and he'd probably still be too stubborn to admit or apologize even to his niece (I say this w love I promise). god save ford from the wrath of an arts and crafts girlie. the multiverse couldn't prepare him for her.

this is a tough question, and one i have been GNAWING on. ive been working on a full plot for just say yes beyond just the initial premise (there's a lot of stuff i have to consider! i'm even trying to consider whether there even should be an eventual weirdmageddon or not) so its like, i dont know the ending to it all yet, but i know that i want like. a happy ending but REALISTICALLY happy, yknow? so its not all kittens and rainbows but i think dipper and mabel are definitely gonna make up and theres gonna be the chance to heal. the chance is so important.

but that still leaves the question of the stans, and by extension, the stans' now-splintered relationship with their "opposite" pines kids. its tempting to say mabel never want to talk to ford again, right? he came into their lives, punched their grunkle in the face, made everything awkward and stressful for the entire time he was there, and by the end of the summer, took her brother away and then was part of the reason he became a paranoid shut-in.

but i think it eats at her that they have something in common that nobody else currently alive can say they have.

a friendship with bill.

it's not JUST that bill is some master manipulator, its more about what he represents for both ford and mabel. both of them were approached by bill during a period in their life where they felt more lonely than they ever had before (especially in the wake of a rift between them and their twin) and bill purposely used that against them. how can they explain to people that they confided in bill, and they ignored the signs? how can they explain why on earth they would trust a DEMON? who could sympathize with the twins who sold the world?

i think thats what could be the key to mending the relationship between all four of them. ford being the one to reach out to mabel after everything's done, after she either helps billie bring about weirdmageddon or ALMOST bring it about depending on what i decide. i think for ford, whos been slowly realizing that he is hurting the people he loves, and has been forced to reckon with that because unlike fiddleford and stan, he's living with dipper and seeing him slowly grow into a reflection of his own negative traits. and he realizes that him and mabel separating was In Large Parts His Fault.

the fact that ford would reach out to mabel and try to extend the olive branch during the period of her life where she probably feels the most like a pariah, more alone than even before billie, to say "sometimes we do selfish things. but that doesnt make us irredeemable" is a sort of atonement for both her and himself, and also a way for him to admit that yes, he did hurt people

so like we need to talk more about torchbearer’s ability cause i feel everyøne just went “forest fic canon haha” and brushed it off like

when tyler called it an ability i feel that wordage constitutes it being in the same category as clancy’s ability, yknow the one where he can be seized whilst alive. thats a big thing, and torchbearer alsø having an ability, the ability tø guide, is a big thing tøø.

but what exactly is that “ability to guide”, as tyler put it? i know people were saying its like a mental thing like he can make people think hes really there, but i think it goes further than that. i do think its an actual physical thing, he can physically project himself to people because remember, the letter from ned specifically addresses BOTH clancy and torchbearer being there. not just clancy. ned saw them both, keons knew they were bøth gøing tø be there. a hallucination wouldnt do that.

there’s the my blood parallels, too, and my blood stems playing at the end, but we have to keep in mind clancy is the protagonist, hes telling the story and this is all from his perspective. so him vanishing isnt him never being there, its more just a way of showing that clancy now realizes it wasnt the real torchbearer along with him since levitate. torchbearer is real, økay. josh is real.

now i have other questions that i, @gonerbird , and @tylerssblurry talked about.

firstly, does torchbearer and/ør clancy know? i think torchbearer definitely knøws, its his ability after all, but i clancy didnt until nøw in navigating. maybe he was told previously, but dema makes you førget things, so maybe he forgot about it.

secondly, do the other banditos knøw? im not sure about this, maybe they do, maybe they don’t. we don’t knøw if this is an ability torchbearer uses før every bandito tø guide them tø the øthers in trench, ør sømething he uses sparingly for clancy and øther peøple he ør the øther banditos deems important to their cause. theres a lot we døn’t knøw and i døn’t think we’ll get a straight answer about it, like most things in this story.

and if he didnt tell clancy, well we can kinda understand why clancy is mad at torchbearer, like you imagine thinking your best friend has been by yøur side før years through all this awful shit, being held captive and forced tø write and perform against yøur will and then having a near death encounter, then discovering you’ve been under attack from an external force this whole time, and før all that før him tø nøt have been there. it was him, but it alsø wasn’t. yøu’d be kinda mad, right? maybe mad enough to start your own rebellion, a more violent one that we might see.

hcs of reasons why papercut would be in a real fight/argument?

i genuinely dont think theres a lot pony and curly rlly argue over, to me theyre more of a couple who would have arguments that just snowball into bigger ones, so the topic doesnt exactly matter BUTTTT they do have their moments where it happens so here they r off the tippity toppity of my head🙏🏽🙏🏽

1) talking about the others family: in curlys case, MOST of the time he accidentally disrespects ponys family, he genuinely does it absent mindedly, maybe w like a quick comment to tell a joke or whatever. but w pony most of the time in this aspect, he purposely brings up curlys family as like a “ haha got u” moment as a defense mechanism, fucked up one, but one regardless

but like i said these happen differently, sometimes pony does it on accident sometimes curly does it on purpose

2) pony feels like curly isnt maturing fast enough for him, curly feels like ponys being toooooo mature: dont think i gotta explain this one, speaks for itself, but examples of this could b pony getting on curly about getting locked up again and again, curly getting upset at pony for pushing him to do things that rlly only ponys worried about and nobody else his age should rlly b, hes TOO focused on the future and trying to pull curly w it

3)lack of attention: thee couple known for pda have a habit of randomly ignoring each other on BOTH ends, curly maybe bc he wants to keep up appearances on looking tuff so doesnt go after pony as much or hes just genuinely busy w gang stuff and pony is lowkey a workaholic, they both dont communicate w the other when theyre doing their own thing!! but what leads this to b a REAL argument is that they just kinda feel too clingy if they bring it up to the other so sometimes they bottle it up but it keeps happening over and over until they just get soooo sick of it. (this also applies to them arguing over the other not respecting their time and doing things late w em) bonus points if they saw the other casually hanging put w someone else instead of giving them a heads up that they were free!!!

4)jealousy: dont think i have to go into this tooooo in detail, when curlys hit on he lets it happen, he doesnt entice em but doesnt shive em off either, pony generally does the same, he tries getting away but it doesnt exactly work out and sometimes curly over hears pony catcalling greaser girls w some other guys and YKNOW WHAT SURPRISE SURPRISE curly gets super jealous over that!!!! even curly doesnt do that anymore when hes w pony (ponys not rlly interested in em, once again, hes keeping up appearances)
